Seasonal jobs
If you are more than 18 and you want to apply for a summer position at the Town Hall.
Different services can offer you a position which matches your experience:
- Administrative jobs

- Open spaces
- Public highway maintenance
- Cleaning service agent
If you are interested, write to the town hall, including the following:
1. A letter of application.
2. A C.V.
3. A completed form (available from the Town Hall before 18 March 2005, to be returned no later than 25 March)
Replacements
If you are more than 18 and you want to apply for a replacement position at the Town Hall.

Temporary replacements
Students and the long term unemployed can be employed as temporary replacements at the Maison des Sports and at the Comédie de Clermont-Ferrand-Scène Nationale, either as controller or usher.
Interested candidates should write to the Town Hall including:
1. A letter of application.
2. A C.V.
3. A completed form (available from the Town Hall reception).
Permanent
Permanent positions are filled through external civil service competition based on exams or qualifications. These competitions are open to candidates fulfilling certain conditions (qualifications or diplomas, years of study,...)
The successful candidate is first recruited on a trial basis. At the end of the trial period of at least one year, the candidate is either:
- accepted, gaining full civil service status,
- invited to confirm skills through an extension of the trial period, for a differing period of time according to position,
- discharged, if the trial period was not successful. In this case, it is compulsory for the Commission to be consulted.
